 The formation of French words
 How the form of a word changes
 The relationships and syntactic functions between the words that combine in a sentence/an utterance.

Course objectives

At the end of this course the student will be able to:

 Explain clearly:

ii) the syntax

iii) Describe the formation of French words

iii) hereditary words
iv) loans
v) derivation
(vi) composition
vii) onomatopoeia
viii) abbreviations

 Analyze the constituents of the sentence

 Represent hierarchically (on the tree) the constituents of the sentence
