Description
INTRODUCTION
This course was developed from elements taken from specialized works dealing with French expression. Some lessons have been taken over as such with some adjustments necessary for convenience. Others have been completely overhauled to adapt them to the profile of the recipients. The primary objective of this module is to introduce users to the methods and techniques of French expression. The first two chapters deal with some aspects of communication and language, aspects that constitute necessary tools for written expression in particular. Admittedly, writing has always been a daunting exercise since it requires particular attention to language handling. It requires a certain mastery of vocabulary and grammar. Also the concepts retained in this module on the language also specify the cases of use. The exercises planned at the end of each lesson will make it possible to become familiar with its notions. The last three chapters deal with the French composition itself. They contain genre-specific techniques ranging from storytelling to dissertation to description. The last chapter deals with a special genre which is correspondence. In everyday life, people communicate through the letter, a form of expression straddling oral expression and written expression. This mode of communication is so widespread that usage has established fixed rules. These are the rules that are presented to the users of this module so that they can address on paper to people of several categories (close friends, comrades, colleagues, civil, religious or military authorities). This module is only an instrument of initiation to the expression especially written. Only daily practice can guarantee someone a mastery of the art of writing, a style of their own.
