Mutahi Ngunyi claims that spies released the audio of Ruto confessing that he nearly struck Uhuru.

According to political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi, spies may have leaked the tape of Deputy President William Ruto confessing that he nearly slapped President Uhuru Kenyatta.

Ngunyi spoke a day after a video of Ruto admitting on camera that he nearly struck Uhuru during a heated exchange at the State House surfaced on social media. Regarding the ongoing discussion surrounding William Ruto almost punching Uhuru Kenyatta in 2017, political analyst Mutahi Ngunyi offered his opinion. Ngunyi questioned whether Ruto himself published the video or spies present at his meeting with Kikuyu leaders.
The DP said in the tape that he nearly struck Uhuru during an altercation after their 2017 victory was overturned.

When he revealed the information on Friday, July 1, Mutahi expressed his concern on social media channels, asking if there were spies present at Ruto’s meeting with Kikuyu elders.
