KCSE 2022 top performers in Kenya

A total of 881,416 candidates sat the exam, with the number of boys being 443,644 and girls 437,772.

Education Cabinet Secretary Ezekiel Machogu on Friday, January 20 released the 2022 KCSE results, revealing that 173,345 candidates scored the minimum university entry grade of C+ (plus).

More than 173,000 candidates who have secured the minimum grade for university education was an increase from the 145,776 in the 2021 KCSE exam.

A total of 1,146 students scored A (plain) in the national exam.

Grade A (plain) starts from 81 points all the way to 84 points, which is the maximum.
