Monday 10th Declared a Public Holiday

Monday 10th October 2022 has been declared a public holiday. Kenyans have been informed that Monday 10th October 2022 is a public holiday to mark Utamaduni Day Celebration.

Interior CS Fred Matiang’I issued a statement on Friday. “All citizens are reminded to honour the day by recognizing and celebrating the rich cultural diversity of kenya in a manner that promotes our unity, national cohesion and economic progress.

Every year on the 10th Day of October, Utamaduni Day is observed to commemorate kenya’s rich cultural diversity and heritage.

This date used to be observed as Moi Day in honour of the 2nd president of the republic of kenya the late Daniel Arap Moi who ascended to power in 1978 after the death of the founding president Mzee Jomo Kenyatta.

All public workers and Kenyans in general will have an off-day as they observe the Utamaduni Day
